Public view - Does the humour of the latest John Smiths ad appeal to viewers?

The public enjoyed Peter Kay's appearance in the new John Smiths ad and felt it targeted its core male audience well.

While women enjoyed the ad they said it would not prompt them to try the beer. The men questioned said they noticed the ad was not heavily branded but knew it was for John Smiths and related to its 'no nonsense' strapline.
