Hotels.com to sponsor travel on 4

Channel 4 has signed a six-figure commercial deal with Hotels.com, which will sponsor 'Vacation, Vacation, Vacation' and the channel's other travel shows.

The year-long deal, negotiated by MPG Media Contacts, covers sponsorship across Channel 4, More4, its 4oD video-on-demand service, and branding on Channel4.com. The creative is handled by Lambie Nairn.

Channel 4’s travel programmes include the new series of 'Vacation Vacation, Vacation', hosted by Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer, along with 'A Place in the Sun', 'Holiday Hijack' and 'Coach Trip'.

Branded Hotels.com air-bumpers will open and close the travel programmes, with sponsorship idents voiced by Martin Clunes.

Alison Couper, global communications director at Hotels.com, said: "The partnership supplements Hotels.com's continued investment in marketing activity to reach travellers across the UK."

Hotels.com claims to offer more than 130,000 hotels, Bed & Breakfast and apartments worldwide.

Last month, Channel 4 promoted Gill Pritchard to the new role of director of audience technologies and insight, completing Channel 4's executive management restructure.
