The pair will join the newly formed agency later this month, and will report to the BETC executive creative director, Neil Dawson.

Pickering is Dawson's former creative partner, having worked with him at Bartle Bogle Hegarty and DDB. During their time together, the pair created the award-winning "fish" campaign for Johnnie Walker.

At AMV, Pickering was the co-creative director on the agency's Walkers business, most recently creating a TV ad for the brand's Sunbites offering featuring The X Factor runner-up Rebecca Ferguson.

Plackett was at Albion for six years, working on accounts including Innocent and the National Gallery. He also created the online "slapometer", which let the public slap the party leaders during the 2010 General Election debates.
