Ikea marketing director Anna Crona leaves position

Anna Crona, the marketing director of Ikea UK & Ireland, is leaving after 25 years at the furniture retailer.

Crona will depart at the end of August but has not elaborated on her next move, other than to say she is "pursuing a new career". The retailer plans to replace Crona, but in the interim the role will be covered by Martin Hansson, Ikea UK's retail manager.

Crona oversaw launch campaigns for four stores and the creation of an Ikea loyalty programme during her tenure. She was also involved in global projects, such as piloting the first Ikea mobile app.
