This week's pitch news from Morrisons, Tetley, Itsu, Scottish Power and British Airways.
Morrisons has whittled down those agencies that it wants to proceed in its £73 million advertising pitch. Ogilvy & Mather, WCRS, Lambie-Nairn, M&C Saatchi and the incumbent, DLKW Lowe, have all made the cut from an estimated 16 that originally answered the RFI.
Chemistry meetings for the Tata Global Beverages brand Tetley are scheduled for next week. The incumbent, Dare, which inherited the brief following its merger with MCBD, is not participating in the Oystercatchers-managed process.
Oystercatchers has also been busy working on the pitch for the Asian-inspired food chain Itsu. Two agencies – Creature London and The Corner – have made it through to the final stage after initial chemistry meetings.
Scottish Power has completed chemistry meetings for its £7 million media review, held by Carat Edinburgh. However, pitches are not expected to kick off for at least two or three weeks. The results of Scottish Power’s creative pitch are looking more imminent, though, with an outcome due in the next few days.
Two agencies, including the incumbent, ZenithOptimedia, are thought to remain in the British Airways global media pitch process, which has moved on to a second round. Agencies are currently in the dark about what will happen next.
