The ad, created by Quiet Storm, shows the top half of men in various situations. The men are vigorously shaking something out of shot, which the Advertising Standards Authority said would be understood as a reference to public masturbation.
The last scene shows a man standing behind a woman in a lift and the ASA ruled adult viewers would understand it to show him appearing to ejaculate on her back.
In its defence, For Goodness Shakes said the video had been emailed to its database and so was likely to have been mainly viewed by young, sports-interested adult men and so be unlikely to have caused serious or widespread offence.
However, the ASA ruled that as the other channels, including a news and entertainment website, where the ad appeared were likely to appeal to a wider audience that wider audience would find the references to public masturbation, and particularly to ejaculating on another person, offensive.
