BMG marketing chief to head AOL Music

AOL Time Warner has appointed Kevin Conroy, the marketing chief from Bertelsmann’s BMG music division, to the post of head of AOL Music.

LONDON (Brand Republic) – AOL Time Warner has appointed Kevin Conroy, the marketing chief from Bertelsmann’s BMG music division, to the post of head of AOL Music.

Convoy, who was senior vice-president of marketing and new technology at BMG, will be responsible for leading AOL’s digital music strategy. He will direct the company’s online relationships with major record labels and the rollout of its digital music subscription service.

He will report to AOL senior vice-president and general manager Jonathan Sacks.
