Visitors to the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai last week will have seen the likes of Peter Souter and Ben Kay splashing around in the pool. But this wasn’t some bizarre lads’ holiday – the pair bad been billeted there, along with contemporaries from JWT London, to pitch for Tata Group’s global creative account. Apparently, they all had a lovely time. We trust there was no running, shouting, ducking, bombing or, err, petting. Either way, it has got to beat the Holiday Inn in Bromsgrove.

E3 really has Balls

Ed Balls paid the Bristol shop E3 a visit last week as part of his tour of south-west business success stories. Balls said E3 is an "example of what can be achieved when entrepreneurial zeal, an understanding of growing industry and support by local and central government incentives come together". Balls was also spotted getting up to date with the latest from adland. No doubt the smiles are down to Campaign’s heroic effort to alleviate the "cost of living crisis" by freezing its coverprice.
