Despite it being the bank holiday break, it has been a busy week for pitches. Virgin Atlantic is believed to have shortlisted Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, Adam & Eve/DDB, Anomaly, Grey London, Leo Burnett, Mother and The Brooklyn Brothers to pitch alongside the incumbent, Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R, for its £85 million advertising account. The successful agencies are holding meetings with the airline this week.
BMW has also provided some relief for agencies that would rather be at work than parked up at the seaside and looking out at the rain. Teams from BMB, FCB Inferno, SapientNitro and Soul have this week been pitching against the incumbents, Dare and WCRS. The statutory review was called in January, with WCRS having worked on the business for 35 years.
House of Fraser, too, has been seeing agencies this week, having called a review of its creative account at the beginning of the month.
The shortlist for the Marie Curie Cancer Care ad account has been unveiled – BMB, JWT London, Saatchi & Saatchi and St Luke’s have been invited to participate. The business was previously held by DLKW Lowe.
