Half Term Reports 2014: Lean Mean Fighting Machine

Campaign asked the ad and media industry to rate and summarise their performance so far in 2014, ahead of our School Reports for 2015. Here's how Lean Mean Fighting Machine view the first six months of their year.

New business / billings: £3.5 million

Summary of the year so far: "Our year so far has been defined by 31 days in early spring that became known as March Madness. A flurry of New Year pitching saw Google, Converse and Land Rover hire the agency. Our 10-year anniversary was marked in style with a Chas & Dave gig for the 100 full-time employees that had ever worked at Lean Mean Fighting Machine. Then we sold the agency to M&C Saatchi.

There is a thin line between selling up and selling out. We'd been fortunate to have a number of advances over the years, but the opportunity to join the industry's most iconic brand whilst continuing to practice our unconventional style of work was too good to ignore.   

Lean Mean Fighting Machine will never be the same again, but the story doesn’t end here. You may not hear our name again, but you will see our energy and spirit play out on a bigger stage."
