Pitch Update

The BBC has shortlisted agencies including Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Saatchi & Saatchi and Wieden & Kennedy along with the incumbents, Karmarama and Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R, to pitch for its advertising account.

The broadcaster was expected to select just three to go through to the next stage after chemistry meetings, so the lengthy list has caused some surprise. The process is being managed by Oystercatchers on behalf of the BBC’s director of marketing and audiences, Philip Almond.

The Arla butter brand Anchor has revealed the agencies that have made the cut for its ad review: Dare, Krow and Leo Burnett are involved. The incumbent, CHI & Partners, is not participating in the process, which is being managed by ISBA.

Now TV’s review is also believed to have progressed, with FCB Inferno among the shops invited to pitch against the incumbent, WCRS.
