Next generation shines at Future Leaders event

Future leaders from companies including Specsavers, MediaCom and JWT emerged victorious in the first Campaign Future Leaders Program event last week.

After three days of mentoring sessions and presentations from some of the industry’s best current leaders, eight teams responded to a brief from Carmel Allen, the creative director at the retailer Heal’s.

The successful team comprised Helen Arnold, the head of digital creative at Specsavers; Becca Bunbury, a media director at PHD; Geoff de Burca, a strategy director at MediaCom; Matthew Cunnell, a board account director at JWT; Ben Reilly, a business director at UM International; and Kate Woodruff, an account manager at WCRS.

The winning team was mentored by Paul Frampton, the chief executive of Havas Media. Other mentors taking part in the event included Martin Brooks, the co-founder and joint chief executive of Havas Work Club; Colin Byrne, the chief executive, UK and EMEA, at Weber Shandwick; Chris Clarke, the international chief creative officer at DigitasLBi; Annette King, the chief executive at Ogilvy & Mather UK Group; Sam Phillips, the chief marketing officer at Omnicom Media Group; and Zaid Al-Zaidy, the chief executive of McCann London.
