Smiley-Jones helps form marketing and advertising agency

The former EHS Brann group board director, Edmund Smiley-Jones, who was responsible for the merger of EHS with Real Time new-media studios to create the integrated offering ehsrealtime, has launched an integrated advertising and marketing communications agency, DSJSW.

The agency, named after its four founding partners, Mark Davison, Smiley-Jones, Paul Snoxell and Ed Wass, has won clients such as Alliance & Leicester, the computer game manufacturer Electronic Arts, British Gas and Hoverspeed.

It will be responsible for the financial services provider's in-branch Christmas campaign and its joint venture campaign with the NSPCC. Hoverspeed is to use DSJSW to push its advance purchase Apex fares and Dover to Calais Seacat service. And the agency will produce digital work for Electronic Arts including an e-mail promotion for games including The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.

However, all work is new business and does not affect any of the clients' incumbent agency relationships.

During his 14-year tenure at EHS, Smiley-Jones held several posts, including deputy managing director. He was also a director of EHS's new-media agency, Zinc.

His fellow founder, Snoxell, is a former creative director at EHS and Zinc. He worked on Prudential, Hotmail, Tesco and the Labour Party.
