INTERACTIVE: Irn-Bru

By RICHARD LONGHURST, editor of .net magaz, campaignlive.co.uk, Friday, 10 January 1997 12:00AM

Coming over the Web like the X-Files on acid, the Irn-Bru site has everything those trendy Web design agencies say a good promotional site should have: free screensavers, wallpaper for your desktop, fancy Shockwave movies, e-mail postcards, excellent graphics, fast response and a competition that exhorts you to find the five hidden slices of brain. It’s a slick and entertaining site, reinforcing the fact that Irn-Bru is a) orange, and b) a bit different from your run-of-the-mill soft drink. What’s more, with many media owners seeking to rid the Net of unsanctioned sites, Irn-Bru has gone the other way, urging Net users to e-mail Iain McInnes to restore his unofficial Irn-Bru pages.
