Maiden revs up out-of-car division

Maiden Outdoor has reshuffled its senior sales management team to support the growth of ’out-of-car’ and regional sales.
Maiden Outdoor has reshuffled its senior sales management team to
support the growth of ’out-of-car’ and regional sales.
The out-of-car division comprises sites aimed at pedestrians rather than
drivers, spearheaded by Maiden’s six-sheets outside supermarkets and
shopping centres and four-sheet and six-sheet panels at railway stations.
The company predicts the sector will account for 25 per cent of its
revenues next year.
Regional sales now account for one third of Maiden’s overall sales.
In the reshuffle, national sales manager Richard Blackburn is moving to
the new post of head of regional sales development.
At the same time, regional sales manager Chris Leyland has been promoted
to regional agency account director.
Additionally, in a straight swap, client sales manager Jonathan Ratner
becomes commercial manager of out-of-car, replacing David Cooper who will
take over Ratner’s job. The switch is designed to make better use of both
Alexandra Ward, Maiden’s group sales director, commented: ’David
established the out-of-car division strategically and that’s where his
strength lies. Now we want someone who can provide more of a trading
Ward added that the company saw ’immense growth potential’ in the regional
sales and out-of-car areas. ’We are refocusing to extract the maximum
amount of business from them.’
The changes come hot on the heels of Francis Goodwin’s move into an
international role. In this new role he is thought to be hunting for
potential overseas acquisitions, while his managing director’s post has
been handed to former Mills & Allen man, David Pugh.
