Turner Broadcasting is launching a new radio station, Toon FM, to
capitalise on the strength of its Cartoon Network TV channel. The
station will broadcast in London during the coming school half-term
using a restricted service licence.
The BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5 are joining forces to market
free-to-air digital TV services to viewers who don’t want to subscribe
to the pay-TV digital packages. The trio will promote the availability
of a special viewer card which will offer access just to the free
