365 Corporation is building on its portfolio of sports and entertainment websites with the launch of soccer365.com. The site is to be used to introduce North American users to 365's football sites.
Soccer365, which will be produced in both English and Spanish, and will be developed into a stand-alone site to exploit the commercial potential of the US market.
Coinciding with the launch of the new service, 365 and Fox Sports International have agreed to an on-air advertising deal covering the US broadcasters' soccer programming. This will see Soccer365 promoted on Fox Sports World and Fox Sports World Espanol.
The sponsorship deal means that the socccer365.com address will be promoted on around 50 per cent of the Fox's total football TV programming.
The broadcaster has US rights to the English Premiership, the FA and UEFA Cups. The deal will last initially for 12 months from today, with an annual option to renew thereafter.
Simon Morris, marketing director of 365 Corporation, said: "North America is clearly a key market for soccer and having examined various options to increase our presence, we've opted to create a tailor-made service and support it locally. 365 will utilise its multi-language content to create soccer365.com."
