- CNN and Nokia have joined forces to offer a 24 hour news service for mobile phone users.

- CNN and Nokia have joined forces to offer a 24 hour news service for mobile phone users.

The service, which will be initially targeted at GSM mobile phone customers in Europe and the Asia Pacific regions, will work on the same basis as text messaging does on pagers.

In the form of brief messages, breaking news will be delivered immediately with world news and regional news updated every 30 minutes. Sports scores and weather forecasts will also be available.
