- Buena Vista Home Entertainment, Disney's home video arm, said today that it was in "final discussions" with Duckworth Finn Grubb Waters about the creative assignment on its estimated £10 million account.
The announcement appears to bring down the curtain on a review which began eight months ago with the aim of appointing an agency to promote Disney's huge catalogue of films.
Buena Vista stressed that the appointment was confined to the UK and that medisa buying, which is handled by BBJ Media Services, was unaffected.
Anthony Peet, Buena Vista's marketing director, said Duckworth Finn had "continued to demonstrate great strategic thinking and creative excutions".
Buena Vista, which had been with Banks Hoggins O'Shea/FCB for eight years, spent about £10 million on home sales last year. However its ad spend is likely to increase significantly as DVD's arrival offers opportunities for digitally enhanced re-releases of old Disney classics.
