Burnetts names Cassie director of brand planning worldwide

- Leo Burnett Worldwide has promoted the London based Neil Cassie, currently its regional director of planning for Europe/Middle East/Africa region, to become its new director of brand planning worldwide.

- Leo Burnett Worldwide has promoted the London based Neil Cassie, currently its regional director of planning for Europe/Middle East/Africa region, to become its new director of brand planning worldwide.

Cassie, who will remain in London, has been tasked with leading a newly formed global planning task force for the network. He joins Burnetts' Global Management Group and will report directly to Jeff Fergus, group president for EMEA and Asia Pacific.

Cassie joined Burnetts' London office in 1992 as head of planning. After serving as deputy chairman of the London office from 1993 to 1996, he was named regional planning director.

Before working at Leo Burnett, Cassie enjoyed stints at GGT and Ogilvy & Mather.

At Burnetts, he contributed to the brand building efforts of such clients as McDonald's, Philip Morris, United Biscuits, United Distillers and several new business prospects.
