LONDON - Manchester United fans have created a mock up of a poster campaign run by Manchester City, in which their rivals welcomed new signing Carlos Tevez to the city.

Manchester United fans hit back at Tevez taunt ad

Manchester City signed the player for £25m once his loan contract had expired at Manchester United and promptly created a poster with the words 'Welcome to Manchester', a dig at their rivals who are technically based outside the city.

The poster riled Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson who called city 'a small club with a small mentality'.

United fans have now responded by mocking up the poster online with the words 'Welcome to the end of your career'.
