The nine-strong executive committee's creation follows Eccleshare's arrival as Clear Channel Outdoor's international chief executive and president in September. He said the global board "marks a vital step towards our ambition to learn faster, share better and play harder".

Hubert Janvier, Clear Channel's regional director for Belgium, Spain and Italy, takes the role of international sales director. He will work with sales teams in each Clear Channel market to share best practice and manage international accounts, such as H&M. He retains his current responsibilities.

As international marketing director, Parkinson will develop strategy across all Clear Channel's markets except the US. She joins Clear Channel from marketing agency Noodle, where she was a planning partner.

Parkinson has a wealth of media agency experience as acting chief executive of Universal McCann, joint managing director of US agency Western International Media and group strategy director of Starcom MediaVest.

Clear Channel's international chief financial officer and director of corporate development, Jonathan Bevan, will become chief operating officer and, as well as having responsibility for finance, he will oversee developing operations, procurement and IT.

Rickard Hedlund will retain his role as Clear Channel's regional director for northern and eastern Europe, but will take on a new role as strategy director.

Philippe Baudillon, chief executive of Clear Channel France, and the yet-to-be appointed chief executive of Clear Channel UK will also sit on the new executive committee. Barry Sayer, former chief executive of Clear Channel's UK operations, left the company last month.

At the time, Eccleshare said he intended to use Sayer's departure to "think about the structure" of Clear Channel Outdoor.
