Adnams brewery appoints Rocket to UK expansion task

LONDON - Adnams, the Suffolk-based brewery, has appointed Rocket to handle its media account as part of its plans to expand into a national brand.

Rocket will handle media communication planning across all of Adnams brewing and business interests. These include its hotels, pubs and its Adnams bitter, Broadside and Bitburger beer brands.

Adnams claims to be the fastest growing beer brand in the UK and has ambitions to be one of the top 10 ale brands in the UK within three years.

As part of this expansion, Adnams has recently appointed its first marketing director. It promoted Andy Wood from his previous position of sales and customer development director to take on the role.

Wood said: "Rocket has impressed us with its innovative approach. It really have a good understanding of the core business objectives and provides a solution that was more than just media."

Rocket will work alongside Campbell Doyle Dye, which won the creative account last month. Rocket and CDD defeated the incumbent Fox Murphy, Partners BDDH and WFCA Integrated to win the account.
