Ads promote Livingstone as the people’s choice

Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper has presented Ken Livingstone as the people’s choice in its debut advertising for his mayoral bid.

Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper has presented Ken Livingstone as the people’s

choice in its debut advertising for his mayoral bid.

The poster campaign takes a softly-softly approach, opting to take the

high ground rather than responding to recent and potential dirty tricks

campaigns instigated by other parties.

It presents him as the people’s choice rather than the political

choice.

Two executions launch this week. One features black and white

photographs of the four candidates with the name of their party printed

underneath.

Under Livingstone’s picture the word ’London’ is printed.

A second execution introduces one of the major issues for the London

mayor - transport. It features Livingstone alongside the line ’You can’t

save the Underground by taking the party line.’

The posters will appear at major outdoor sites around the capital.

Euro RSCG’s chief executive, Brett Gosper, said: ’This round of work

emphasises that this is all about London, not about party politics.’

The work features Livingstone’s party colour - purple - and introduces

his logo, Ken4London.
