LineOne, the UK’s second-largest free internet service provider,

has chosen the Advertising Brasserie to develop a pounds 5 million

multi-media campaign.

The internet service provider, which is jointly owned by British Telecom

and United News & Media, is about to embark on its biggest advertising

campaign.

Trevor Mallon, the brand marketing manager at Line-One, said: ’This is

an important moment in the development of the LineOne brand. We have

chosen to work with the Advertising Brasserie because of their

ideas-focused way of working.

’They are great at producing great ideas and we appreciate their

collaborative way of working.’

Now that consumers expect to have free internet access, the Brasserie’s

campaign will focus on how LineOne enables surfers to get more out of

the internet.

A national TV campaign will break on 8 May and will be supported by

press, radio and posters. Media planning and buying will be handled

through United News & Media’s roster of agencies.

Mischa Alexander, a managing partner at the Advertising Brasserie, said:

’LineOne is the best way to access and use the internet. It provides a

fantastic innovative service which is ideally suited to meet the needs

of a large customer base as usage of the internet becomes increasingly

mass market.

’With the present clutter of internet communication, this is a wonderful

opportunity to create a campaign that truly stands out.’

Earlier this month LineOne signed a deal with Quip, the internet

telephone company, and now offers customers free, unrestricted internet

use.
