Agencies line up for Fox UK media brief

Fox International Channels UK, the UK TV channel division of Rupert Murdoch's Fox Entertainment, is talking to various agencies about its media planning and buying account.

The review, which is thought to be in its early stages, comes as Fox expands its UK channel package beyond FX, the local channel it launched in 2004. Walker Media has handled the UK Fox account since the launch of FX.

Fox International Channels acquired the digital channel Real Estate TV in January and is also now showing blocks of content from its European Fuel TV channel during FX airtime.

Last year, media spend focused on FX programming, with campaigns to support key shows such as NCIS and Nip Tuck.

FX's launch made it the first wholly owned News Corporation channel to air on Sky Digital. It seeks to target male adults between 25 and 44 with a selection of bought-in series and films from the US market. It has given UK premieres to US shows such as the serial killer drama Dexter.
