Agencies line up for H&M UK media task

H&M, the fashion retailer, is reviewing its £5m UK media business.

The account, currently held by Universal McCann, is under review as part of a process driven from H&M’s headquarters in Stockholm and headed by Ulrika Miller, the UK and Ireland marketing manager for H&M.

It is understood to be the starting point to a territory-by-territory review of the media across Europe, where the retailer uses agencies including MediaCom, Media­edge:cia, and ZenithOptimedia on a local basis.

UK agencies were contacted this week regarding the pitch, which follows a review late last year for H&M’s outdoor media account, which was handled by Universal McCann, but moved to WPP’s out-of-home agency Kinetic.
