The company is believed to be speaking with creative agencies. Kayak previously used TBWA\Amsterdam as its ad agency across Europe, but the Dutch shop has now lost the account. It is understood the change is the result of management changes at the travel brand.

TBWA\Amsterdam won the business in November 2013, beating Scholz & Friends Berlin and VCCP Berlin.

The pitch was run by the research company Grupo Consultores through its Madrid office.

ZenithOptimedia was appointed to handle Kayak’s digital and offline media planning and buying business across Europe at the start of 2013 and will continue to handle the account.

The New York agency Barton F Graf 9000 handles Kayak’s creative activity in the US. It also produced work for Europe before TBWA’s appointment.

Kayak was bought by The Priceline Group in 2013, which also owns, and Open-Table. uses Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam for its advertising.
