Agency.com hands Alex Wright MD role

Agency.com, the Omnicom-owned digital full-service agency, has promoted Alex Wright to be the managing director of its London office.

Wright replaces David Eastman, who was named the global chief executive of the Agency.com network last month (Campaign, 10 March), following the sudden departure of Don Scales.

Wright will focus on managing the agency's 110 staff, new business and developing the agency's relationship with TBWA\London.

Wright has worked on and off at Agency.com since 1995 Most recently, he was the group account director on Dulux and Sainsbury's Bank. He has also worked at Virgin.com, Upmystreet.com and VNU.com.

Wright said: "The agency is in a strong position. The world of advertising is changing and digital is moving towards the epicentre. Making sure Agency.com is leading that change will be a big part of my role."
