’I met Chrissie when I was 16 and doing work experience at Emap Elan. I

was sent to the advertising marketing department where I was put to work

making tea and sending faxes. I thought it was great, which was mainly

down to Chrissie.



’Some time later, she called to tell me there was a job going in

research. She was like a surrogate mother. We would go out drinking

together and I reassured my mum that she would look after me. Then one

night my mother came to pick me up from the Emap Ad Awards and saw

Chrissie in a heap at the bottom of the stairs, shoeless and completely

drunk. I had to do some fast talking.’
