We all dream of relaxing at home in our fluffy bathrobes, munching
chocolate digestives while getting some work done. And technology should
make it possible - if our bosses would only wake up to the 21st
TSMSi’s Peter Wilson has done just that, introducing ’working at home’
days for his staff. ’With laptops, mobile phones and e-mail, there’s no
reason why it shouldn’t work,’ he points out.
Staff can work from home once a month as long as it’s not a Monday, when
there’s a group meeting, or a Friday, when things get hectic. To make
sure they don’t watch Neighbours, each person is given tasks to complete
during their working day. Open the choccy biccies.
