Ammirati Puris Lintas has hired Leagas Shafron Davis’s planning

director, Alison Hardy, as its senior planning director.

Hardy, who will report to the head of planning, Nicky Buss, fills the

gap left by Malcolm White, who has joined Partners BDDH as its planning

director.

Before her stint at Leagas Shafron, Hardy spent time at Abbott Mead

Vickers BBDO and Partners BDDH, before joining Kirshenbaum Bond &

Partners in New York in 1993.

Hardy met Buss at Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners and knows Chris Thomas,

the managing director at APL, from her time at AMV where Thomas ran the

high-profile Volvo account.

Hardy commented: ’My leaving Leagas Shafron was not unconnected to the

problems it is having, but that is not the only reason for my going to

Lintas. I’ve known Nicky a long time and have always wanted to work with

her. Lintas is a fab agency which is about to take off.’

Meanwhile, White will oversee strategic planning for Partners BDDH and

its sister outfits, the design company, Columns, and the media planning

company, Media Science.
