Alitalia relaunches UK site with online-only promotion

LONDON - Alitalia, the Italian airline, is using a range of web-only return fare promotions to push the relaunch of its UK website.

The new site offers return flights between London Heathrow and Milan and Heathrow and Rome of £69 and £89 respectively.

Banner advertising promoting the offer will appear on a range of lifestyle and sporting websites, including Channel 4, This is London, Confetti and Tiscali.

Hotel and car hire, as well as airport car parking and travel insurance, services can be found on the relaunched site. The airline offers city guides and event information in partnership with

Courtney Middleton, e-commerce specialist Alitalia UK, said: "With its crisp, uncluttered design contemporary look and feel and intuitive navigation the site will no doubt offer our customers a vastly improved online experience."

Ehs Brann redesigned the site and its booking engine is powered by Amadeus and e-Travel.
