Jeremy Miles, 33, has ’the kind of ambition that leads to the chairman’s

office’, one colleague at AMV SMS, says.

Miles moved to AMV after a year at McCormicks, and has worked on British

Caledonian, Sainsbury’s and Dunlop as an account manager, before taking

over as account director of the Sainsbury’s and the Economist

business.

The copywriter, Malcolm Duffy, 31, and the art director, Paul

Briginshaw, 34, are at their nearest spiritual home: Collett Dickenson

Pearce.

They were hired by creative director John O’Donnell on the basis of

their work on Citroen and Morphy Richards for Colman RSCG, which has won

three Campaign Press silvers and a D&AD silver.

Mary Wear, 29, and Damon Collins, 23, met on a copywriting course at

Hounslow College. Collins dropped copywriting to become an art director.

After college they joined FCB, working on London Transport and Kahlua.

At GGT, the pair worked on Cadbury’s Wispa, Complan and the COI.

After four years in the business, John Harlow, 26, is a media account

manager at AMV BBDO, working on Sainsbury’s, Yellow Pages and

Dunlop.

He started as a media assistant with FCO before a brief stint with

Mediastar.

At the Advertising Association’s Media Business course in Bournemouth

last year, Harlow was one of four finalists as a syndicate leader.

Farah Ramzan, 30, is the account director on Sainsbury’s and Gossard at

AMV BBDO.

Her first job was at Burkitt Weinreich Bryant and Partners, which she

joined in 1987. She moved to AMV in 1990 as an account manager and,

within a year, became an account director.

’Farah combines a razor-sharp brain with bags of drive and common

sense,’ Cilla Snowball, head of client services, said.
