AMV BBDO expands planning function

Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO has boosted its planning department by hiring VCCP's head of planning, Michael Lee, alongside four other senior strategists.

Lee, who worked at VCCP for seven years, joins AMV as a planning director with a role across the agency client base. He reports to the joint heads of planning, Craig Mawdsley and Bridget Angear.

The agency has also hired Beattie McGuinness Bungay's Steven Hopkins as a senior strategist. Hopkins worked as a planner on Carling and McCain at BMB.

Sophie Lewis, who worked at Mother London on Boots, takes on the role of senior strategist on Sainsbury's. Working alongside her as a planner will be Steve Mustarde, who previously worked at Bartle Bogle Hegarty on the Johnnie Walker "keep walking" campaign.
