The agency has hired Herve Hannequin to lead global strategy on Pedigree and Kathy Slack to lead global strategy on Galaxy.

Hannequin has worked at DDB for three years and ran the global Phillips account. He previously worked at WCRS&Co as head of international planning.

Slack headed up the VW, Harvey Nichols and Gu accounts at DDB. Prior to that, she worked on Lynx and Persil at BBH.

Craig Mawdsley and Bridget Angear, joint heads of planning at AMV, said: "We had a great year in 2011, but we're determined to build on those achievements and go further in 2012.

"Herve and Kathy are as good as it gets in planning, with great strategic and creative track records.

"We're building a formidable department of senior operators, now including five who have previously run planning departments elsewhere."
