AMV hires Jordan and Macadam duo

Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO has hired the creative team Paul Jordan and Angus Macadam from Leo Burnett.

The pair, who moved to D'Arcy in 1999 and joined Leo Burnett after the agencies merged, will join AMV as creative directors. They will work across a range of the agency's clients, which include BT, PepsiCo and Guinness.

During their time at Leo Burnett, the pair have worked on a number of the agency's accounts including Becks, Kellogg and the Department for Transport.

At Leo Burnett, the duo created award-winning work including the drink-drive "crash" spot for the DfT, which won bronze at the British Television Advertising Awards last year. The pair also created "cameraphone", which won gold at the BTAA this year, as well as three black D&AD Pencils.

In 1999, Jordan and Macadam won the Cannes Advertising Festival's third Young Creatives competition.

Jim Thornton, the executive creative director at Leo Burnett, said: "It's always a shame to lose two people as talented and lovely as Paul and Gus, but change is good for everyone. They have been great for us but I think we've been better for them."
