AMV lures creative team from Publicis

Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO has hired the senior creative team of Mike Sutherland and Antony Nelson from Publicis New York.

The pair, who were Campaign Faces to Watch in 2002, will report to Paul Brazier, the executive creative director, and will work across a number of AMV's major accounts.

Brazier said: "Antony and Mike worked at Fallon, producing some of the agency's finest work before they were poached by Dave Droga at Publicis, New York. They wanted to come back to London, and to my delight, chose AMV."

Nelson and Sutherland both began their advertising careers at Saatchi & Saatchi after joining the agency on a placement from Doncaster College.

At Saatchis, they created poster work for the NSPCC and won a Cannes Grand Prix and two D&AD Pencils for their work for Club 18-30.

After leaving Saatchis in 2003, the pair moved to Fallon, where they worked on accounts including Sony.
