Following the Andes "Teletransporter" which won Grand Prix win at the 2010 Cannes Advertising Festival, Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi has launched a new campaign for Andes beer.
The campaign centres on a telepresence robot that allows a guy to join his friends at the bar, remotely.
The ‘avatars’ were installed in bars in Argentina that could take on the facial appearance of a human being, by using interactive facial recognition software that maps a face onto a robot via a webcam.
The robots have audio, speech and visual abilities so that the friend staying at home can contribute to the conversations and even move their robot heads remotely.
