Anthony Edwards takes top comms planning role at Euro RSCG

LONDON - Euro RSCG London has hired Anthony Edwards, the former Mindshare head of planning, to the new role of communications planning director.

The appointment is the first to be made by Russ Lidstone, Euro RSCG London's chief executive, since he officially assumed the role in May. 

Edwards will sit on the management team to ensure that channel strategy and media thinking are at the heart of the agency. He will provide a media planning perspective on creative development, and offer communications planning to existing clients and new business prospects. He will also create a communications planning team to work with the creative department.

Edwards began his career at WCRS before moving to Optimedia and later Mindshare. He left his role as joint head of strategy last September to set up the branded content agency Kameleon. 

Lidstone said: "I want to ensure that our ideas capitalise on, and build from, the best channel thinking. Anthony is the man to help us do that."
