APL Digital loses senior staff

- APL Digital, the standalone new-media network of Ammirati Puris Lintas, has been rocked by the departure of a number of senior staff from its New York headquarters.

The resignations follow the departure just over a week ago of APL Digital president Brian Cauley, who was also member of the New York management committee of APL and the worldwide operating board.

He has been followed out of the door by Evan Lewis and Grant Collier, both creative directors, as well as Mark Avnet, the director of production and technology, and Lynn Bolger, the media director.

In addition, Vicky Evans, an executive producer, and Dawn Winchester, a management supervisor, have also resigned.

APL Digital was launched last year and was the first sub brand to be spun out of the main agency.

At launch it had 140 employees based in offices in London, New York, Hong Kong and Sydney with billings of around $30 million. Its clients include: Ameritech, Lego Group, Nickelodeon, Unilever, Iridium, Compaq, Rover and the newly won P&O Stena.
