Ask Jeeves calls UK pitch following acquisition by US leisure giant

Ask Jeeves has called a review of its above-the-line advertising account.

The incumbent, TBWA\London, which was appointed in 2000, has been asked to join an undisclosed shortlist to pitch.

Ask Jeeves has not informed agencies of the value of the account, but has spent £3 million in the past year, according to Nielsen Media Research.

This spend backed a TV, print and online campaign.

The review follows IAC/Interactive Corp's recent acquisition of Ask Jeeves.

The media planning and buying account for Ask Jeeves UK is handled by Media Planning Group. It is not thought to be under review at the moment.

Ask Jeeves declined to comment.
