- The Broadcasters Audience Research Board is launching a website to carry its weekly viewing report with a view to replacing its current press release.

The site, at www.barb.co.uk, will contain annual viewing figures, data on the industry and BARB bulletins. Information on the report will be available every Tuesday. Although the site, which has been created by MediaTel, is on open-access, users will be asked to fill in a simple 'once only' registration.

Bill Meredith, director of BARB, said; "The principle object of launching a website for the BARB s to dispense with the cumbersome task of faxing and posting the weekly viewing summary. Over the coming year, BARB will be looking at ways in which we can improve the site further and add even more elements which will be of interest to users."

The site can also be accessed via MediaTel's 'Media Village' at http://mediavillage.co.uk as well as via the web.
