Bauer Media UK appoints Linda Smith as interim COO for advertising

Bauer Media UK, which owns the Kiss and Grazia brands, has appointed Linda Smith as its interim chief operating offer for its ad division.

In the new role, Smith will report into Richard Dunmall, the group managing director for advertising at Bauer Media UK.

She was previously the interim commercial development director at Centaur Media between January 2014 and March 2015.

Before this Smith was the executive chair at the Radio Advertising Bureau for four years. She was interim chief executive of RadioCentre following Andrew Harrison's departure and the arrival of Siobhan Kenny.

Between 2006 and 2003, she was the chief executive at Starcom MediaVest. She has also worked at ITV and Capital Radio.

Paul Keenan, the chief executive at Bauer Media UK, said: "Linda is a world class operator with a wealth of knowledge and experience across the media market.

"She will be a brilliant addition to Richard's senior team and we are excited to have her join Bauer Media to further support our ambition to be the most progressive, professional and passionate business for our commercial partners to engage with."
