BBH fires Tom Hudson over creative bust-up

Tom Hudson, the creative director at Bartle Bogle Hegarty, has been

fired from the agency amid rumours of a bust-up with the creative

director John O'Keeffe.

'Tom didn't quite hit it off internally with people, but he's a very

bright guy and I know he'll be a great success,' O'Keeffe said.

Hudson, a former creative director at Leagas Delaney, has accepted a

short-term contract with Lowe Lintas that started on Monday. He was

unavailable for comment as Campaign went to press.

Hudson is joining another former Leagas Delaney creative director, Steve

Paskin, who is also on a short-term contract but is in talks with a

number of London agencies. Paskin left Leagas at the beginning of last

month.

It is understood that the pair has been asked to work on a one-off

project - but Chris Thomas, Lowe's chief executive, confirmed that the

agency was considering hiring Hudson on a permanent basis. 'He's seeing

if he likes us and we're seeing if we like him,' Thomas admitted.

Hudson returned to BBH in August last year, having joined the agency to

take creative charge of its pounds 17.5 million Audi business. He first

joined BBH 15 years ago as a School of Communications Arts student and

stayed for seven years.
