BDDH appoints WCRS planner to senior job

Partners BDDH has boosted its senior team by poaching Ian Hilton

from WCRS to become a senior board planner.



Hilton joins from his position as a board planner at WCRS, and will work

alongside Malcolm White, the agency's head of strategy.



Hilton said: "It's a great opportunity to get involved in a managing

role. The agency has made several appointments recently and is committed

to change."



Starting at WCRS on the Iceland account in 1995, Hilton subsequently

moved on to work on accounts including Bupa, RAC, BMW bikes and Canon

office equipment.



He joined WCRS from Reay Keating Hamer, where he was a senior planner on

the DHL, Canderel, Savlon and Nicotinell business for two years. Prior

to that he had worked at McCormick Publicis, which he joined in 1988 to

work as a senior planner across the Elida Gibbs, Abbey National, Harp

Lager and McVitie's accounts.



BDDH's managing director, Simon Toaldo, said: "Finding experienced, good

creative strategists is becoming increasingly difficult. Ian is

technically brilliant but also has a creative bent and a strong

understanding of great brands."



BDDH recently hired Will Awdry as its creative director from Bartle

Bogle Hegarty.
