Bell Media sheds 12 London staff

Media agency Bell Media has cut staff from its London office. It

has made 12 employees redundant, predominantly production staff, with

chief executive Paul Campbell citing the end of contracts as the reason

for the move.

"We shed some employees because some contracts came to an end, including

the ITV2 web site," he explained. "We hope to re-employ all of them as

freelancers as the summer proceeds and some pipeline business is

confirmed. In the autumn, we're expecting to increase our

headcount."

Granada is one of Bell Media's major clients, with a team from the

agency currently working alongside Granada Broadband.

Previous work for the company has included the now defunct G-Wizz

portal, interactive kiosks for Granada's motorway service stations and

developing the site for the TV programme This Morning.

Other large corporate clients include financial services names such as

UBS Warburg and JP Morgan.
