The incumbent, VCCP, repitched for the account. There was no intermediary involved in the process. VCCP picked up BetVictor’s creative business in 2012 after a competitive pitch through Oystercatchers.

Campaign revealed in January that BetVictor had started speaking to agencies about work on a campaign to promote its brand and offers around the football tournament in France, which begins in June.

Mr President has been tasked with driving the brand’s "simple as" positioning, which was launched by VCCP in November last year.

MediaCom handles media planning and buying.

Shane Stafford, BetVictor’s head of brand, said: "The new partnership with Mr President is the next step in our exciting journey to provide great value to our customers.

"Mr President demonstrated a combination of creative flair and understanding of our mission to give our players value, and we look forward to working with them on our ambitious growth goals."

BetVictor rebranded from Victor Chandler in 2012. Michael Tabor bought the bookmaker in 2014 as Victor Chandler, the chairman and grandson of the founder, William Chandler, stepped down.
