BSkyB has brokered a pounds 500,000 sponsorship deal with

BigSave.com, the online discount store.

BigSave will sponsor hospital drama ER on Sky’s digital entertainment

channel Sky One until the end of this year. The deal covers the new

series as well as repeats.

The sponsorship deal involves 15-second credit sequences before and

after each show, plus six five-second bumpers that top and tail each

commercial break.

BigSave offers consumers discounted toys and fashion brands when

purchased online. BigSave FM - an internet radio station providing

consumers with news on the latest products - backs up the website.

The dotcom is planning to move into selling motor insurance and

second-hand cars in the near future.

BigSave announced last March it would spend pounds 7 million on a

national press campaign and other advertising strategies in order to

boost awareness of its service.

In a separate move, Sky has secured a pounds 250,000 deal with motor

manufacturer and importer Isuzu UK. The company will sponsor a daily

travel spot to be broadcast on the Sky News channel.

The Isuzu Destinations Report will go on air four times a day and

provide information on holiday resorts and business travel destinations

in Europe.
