BJK&E lures Votta from MediaCom to run technology arm

BJK&E Media has recruited a director to take charge of its technology and international arm BJK&E @dvance.

BJK&E Media has recruited a director to take charge of its

technology and international arm BJK&E @dvance.



Michele Votta has arrived from Argentina - where he was involved in

setting up a South American agency for MediaCom TMB - to take up the

post.



BJK&E @dvance handles Fujitsu, Unisys, Nortel Networks and the

international brief for FT.com. The department has billings of between

pounds 25 million and pounds 30 million.



Votta, who reports to agency managing director Mark Patterson, will head

a team of five. The two media managers are Luc Ferrand, who previously

worked on IBM at MediaCom, and Ed Pizey, who joined from BMP OMD where

he worked on Compaq. The two planner/ buyers are Mary McGaughey and

Simona Milone.



Before MediaCom, Votta spent time at DMB&B and CIA Medianetwork. He

handled the launch of Windows 95 and has worked on Shell, Procter &

Gamble and Visa.



BJK&E @dvance was launched in 1997. Its former director Steve Mills left

in December to join web company Interactive One.
